How to Find Your Happy Place?
November 8, 2024

Where do you go in your mind or to a place to feel happy?

Your happy place may be your home, enjoying your garden, spending time with your loved ones, or exploring distant lands.

How about hiking in an ancient forest of giant Sequoia trees or having fun playing games, watching your favorite movies, listening to inspiring music, or chilling at the beach with a good book?

Whatever you create in the present moment, you will create more in the future.

There are countless opportunities to explore and find our happy place.

We all need playful time, a non-structured free play that creates joyful experiences.

Every day, take part in activities, enjoy yourself, and have a great time. The laughter and unexpected insights will open the door to a heightened awareness of inner peace.

A happy place may be reading a book in your comfort chair that takes you on a journey to many places. You may also enjoy shopping for a gift for your family, friends, or yourself. If gifting is your love language, visit a school and offer your service or bring a gift basket. Gift baskets on Amazon

When you wake up early, you can observe the sky as it slowly gets brighter, bringing forth the comfort of warmth. Signifying the potential for new beginnings and thrilling explorations.

Find a few moments of silence throughout the day to reflect on. Connect to your higher consciousness to nurture the love for yourself and our planet.

As nighttime sets in, cuddle up to a soft pillow and drift away to another world to replenish and restore your body.

Create your happy place, whatever that may be.

When my children were very young, all tucked in bed and fast asleep, even though I felt exhausted from the busy day of being a parent, I had a sense of peace and inner joy just knowing at that moment that all was well.

In this world of beauty and distress, everyone needs to have several places they can call a happy place.

Our green and blue planet has an insurmountable amount of places to discover. Awe-inspiring landscapes of mountains, valleys, forests, beaches, and prairie that surround us to appreciate and admire.

At the micro level, the diversity of plants and flowers, intricate in design and with various spectrums of color, is a beautiful sight. The fruits and veggies supply life-sustaining nutrients that nourish our bodies. The expansive forests and plant life provide oxygen that is essential for our survival.

Take a walk to a nearby park to explore the biodiversity of the natural world. Instead of thinking of what happened in the past or what could happen in the near or distant future, focus your eyes on one flower by the ground.

You may notice a bumblebee as it buzzes by and settles on the flower, collecting pollen to bring back to her colony to make honey. How sweet!

The animals and plant life all play a part in the circle of life, a system of biodiversity that replenishes and sustains life on this planet.

Our happy place doesn’t have to be a location. Our thoughts can create a personal space where we can create ideas to better our lives without interference from the outside world.

To visit your happy place in your mind, all you need is a happy thought and then decide if you want to act on it or not. Your action will create a reaction, which can be positive or negative, depending on how it’s expressed and received. If it aligns with your inner purpose and happiness, keep it going.

Thoughts of unresolved issues can develop into any disease, just like toxins in our food and the environment, as well as from events that do not help in our process of recovery. This serves as a wake-up call to raise awareness of the energetic field within ourselves, which causes discomfort that we can clear, cleanse, or detoxify.

It is crucial not to take on other people’s energies of negativity. It is not yours. If you do not take on their energy, it will dissipate. The negativity just wanted to be expressed and seen. Notice the energy goes poof into thin air.

‘If you want to find out the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.’

– Nikola Tesla

To be free of any guilt of low vibration, release attachments to emotional traumas that perpetuate for reasons that need to be unraveled. Why do we hang on to trauma? There’s no need to suffer. We can resolve unresolved trauma by first forgiving ourselves and then forgiving others.

In your happy place, you can feel resolved about any issues that weigh heavily on your heart, knowing that they will not last forever.

Mistakes are part of this world experience. We all experiment with ideas by acting upon them to find favorable or unfavorable results. Some mistakes lead us to create amazing things or cause destructive behavior, like creating emotional conflicts with others or spending money on things we do not need. Causing us stress.

Break the patterns of unfavorable results to move towards the favorable ones. This will clear the body of discomfort by being open to feeling love for yourself and others. It is the clearing process of what doesn’t work to create something that works. Only in the happy place can we explore new options, create, and be whole again.

The kinds of relationships we create with others and towards the world of nature depend on how we perceive the functions of those relationships. Genetics and biology versus environmental and social influences also impact our intellectual development and play an important part in steering us toward our happy place.

Understanding our love language and others helps us find our happy place. Learn how to apply these skills to your life experiences.
The Five Love Languages

Inner joy is vital in wellness, as it influences the nervous system’s emotional response and other bodily functions. The happy places we experience in our lifetime motivate us to be our best selves.

My happy place is by the water, either by the sea or a lake or a pool, to unwind in a hot tub or sing in the shower.

The beauty and function of water exist as a simple compound of two molecules of hydrogen and one oxygen that create our oceans, lakes, and rivers. It is the major source of life here on this planet. Water washes away waste, recycles, and gives space for fresh growth. Bathing in water softens our body, hydrates, and clears toxins away.

Find your happy places.
